Kemnay Amateurs exited the White Cup following a 2–1 defeat away to Kaimhill Utd.

With a strong wind to contend with in the first half, Kemnay had to do plenty of defending early on. Fernando was called into action twice, producing two good saves to tip efforts over the bar and keep the game goalless.

Kemnay did threaten on the break, with Davis carrying the ball forward before playing Louie in on the edge of the box, but his effort went over the crossbar.

The sides went into half-time level at 0–0, with Kemnay having done well to keep things tight while playing into the wind.

Kemnay started to create more after the break and went close when a lovely pass from Louie sent Jake clear one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but the Kaimhill keeper made the save.

Ryan was then introduced in place of Davis and made an immediate impact. He registered three efforts on target in his first ten minutes on the pitch before making his fourth one count.

Picking up the ball inside the box, Ryan showed some excellent individual play to take it around the final defender before calmly placing his finish into the far corner to give Kemnay a 1–0 lead.

There was an opportunity to extend the advantage when Saber made a brilliant run out wide before finding Callum Campbell on the edge of the box, but his effort went over the crossbar.

Kaimhill then found their way back into the game. A loose touch in midfield allowed the hosts to win possession and quickly send a player through one-on-one, with the finish going through Fernando's legs to make it 1–1.

The decisive moment came when Kaimhill played the ball in behind the Kemnay defence with two of their players clearly in an offside position. Despite Kemnay's appeals, play was allowed to continue and the hosts converted the chance to take a 2–1 lead.

It proved to be the winning goal and brought Kemnay's involvement in this season's White Cup to an end.

A tough result to take after getting ourselves in front, with chances there to make it 2–0 before Kaimhill turned the game around.
